Quantity Surveyor – Painting and Decorating

The Role
Joining as a Quantity Surveyor, you will manage all the commercial aspect of a project from start to finish. To achieve total control over projects, you will be split between office and site. Within this role, you will be responsible for the following duties-:
- Produce monthly reports
- Carry out site measures for accounting and targeting cost
- Liaise with clients and the site team
- Involvement in the production of method statements and risk assessments
- Variations
- CVR’s
- Working closely with the Contract Manager
The position is Midlands focussed but there may requirements to support projects in both Wales and London. You will be a significant member in the success of each individual project.

Formed in the 1980’s, my client is a well-established firm who operate Nationally and are part of a well-known Tier one contractor group. They handle all types of Painting and Decorating schemes with project values ranging from £1k through to £1m, working in the commercial, industrial, plant, retail and maintenance sectors. They offer all kinds of service within the mentioned sectors, which includes-:
- Specialist coatings
- Hygienic coatings
- Chemical resistant coatings
- Floor preparation and floor painting

To be a success as the new Quantity Surveyor you well be well organised, analytical and confident in your abilities to communicate with clients and colleagues alike. You will have a proven track record of successfully managing and completing your own projects in the sub-contract finishing trade. You will be self-motivated to achieve the highest results and have the ambition to grown within the business.
