Your New Opportunity

This role is offered on a hybrid basis, 2 days from home, 3 days site or office based (either London or Derby) You will be supporting customers and suppliers across the UK within the Rolling Stock sector, Providing accurate quality and standards for the rail industry ideally from the rolling stock industry or from an allied area of work but with a high level of focus on standards and quality.

You will ideally have experience of working in the rolling stock industry with a TOC, consultancy or ROSCO.

You will likely be from a technical author or Quality engineer background with high level of experience in writing technical specifications, standards and VMI’s from an overhaul and maintenance perspective.

You will be competent to liaise with stakeholders from TOCs and to work on issues and problems that they have with some of these systems on trains.

You will be an easy-going character but a self-starter – this role is hybrid and will be out of office for 2-3 days per week.

You will be able to work with limited supervision and always have a customer focus.

The Key things you need to succeed in this role are:

-        Maintenance and overhaul standards and quality experience

-        Technical drawing ability

-        Railway engineering knowledge

-        Degree level desirable but non-essential – the key is experience
