Working as both a Tier 1 and Tier 2 and boasting supplier agreements with some of the biggest contractors in the UK, this company are growing exponentially in the rail industry and have a competitive edge on pre-contract geotechnic investigation works.

The Opportunity:

Working on Network Rail Grip Stages 2-3, you will be in charge of managing a portfolio of ground investigation and site survey works for rail projects, this could see you managing up to 50 remits at once. This means you will take full responsibility for carrying out the ECI across a vast area of the CP6 Western and Wales work bank. Day to day your responsibilities will include:

  • Working closely with the Geo and Survey departments at all times.
  • Directly managing Operations Managers, Geotechnical Engineers and Surveyors.
  • Ensure effective client relationship management and provide updates to internal and external stakeholders on contract process.
  • Working closely with the Commercial Manager, responsible for all commercial activities associated with the project including the delivery of the agreed gross margin, management of cost control and other key commercial and financial metrics.

Package:

The company are offering a basic salary of around £50,000 per annum, Company car or car allowance (circa £5,000), 23 days plus bank holidays, 5% pension.

About you:

The critical success factors to this role are client satisfaction, volume of work and planning of quality so you must be a natural leader, logical thinker, and a good relationship builder. You will have significant knowledge of Network Rail contracts and will come from background with a bias to the rail industry. Geotechnical experience is not essential for this position as long as you have a proven track record working on rail civil engineering projects. This position would be ideal for an agent level candidate looking to step into Project Management.
