£52,000 - £55,000 + Car or Car Allowance
As we hit the back end of February 2021 there seems to be light at the end of the tunnel to return to what we know as a ‘normal’ life.
Wouldn’t it be even better to come out of that long tunnel starting a new position as a Project Manager in a company that prides themselves on their close-knit, family like ways?
If you are a Project Manager in the Manchester area and have experience of working on Rail Projects, then this is for you…
The company I am currently working with have been around for the past 30 years and have offices based throughout the United Kingdom.
Originally formed to provide Civil Engineering and Building Services to clients they have since grown to produce a Rail arm of the business and now work on Network Rail projects.
With guaranteed work for the next 5 years this is a company you want to be part of…
As Project Manager you will be required to take control of a portfolio of 3 – 4 schemes (smaller in value - up to £500k) from inception to completion on the Network Rail CP6 Frameworks, focusing predominantly on the Midlands, North West, North East.
You will be primarily office based with visits to site 1-2 days per week (which will be fully expensed).
You will be required to manage a team of Site Managers who will be based full time on site and be responsible for the delivery, commercial and financial elements of the schemes.
The key part of this role is producing the programmes and approving site paperwork provided by the Site Managers as well as ensuring safety on site.
It is vital that you have a good understanding surrounding profit margins and are able to ensure the P&L for each of the sites is kept in check, and escalate any commercial queries appropriately.

My client is a close-knit family ran business so is looking for someone to slip into their team smoothly.
Providing you have a wealth of Rail experience with working on Rail civils and building works such as:
-Canopy refurbishments / replacements
-Under track crossings then you will have no problems with this role.
HND / HNC would be a bonus but my client sees the potential in peoples experience and their attitude to work so don’t be afraid to apply if you don’t hold a higher educational certificate.
