Delivering a range of medium to large electrification rail projects throughout the Eastern region, this Senior Project Engineer role is positioned in the market for someone looking to maximise their potential as a Project engineer or CRE.  

The Role:

This position as Project engineer will see you have a great contribution towards successful and efficient project delivery across the Eastern region. Projects will include a variety of systems works such as Signalling and Telecoms and you will be acting as Contractor’s Responsible Engineer on designated projects.

What is expected of you as Project Engineer?

  • You will plan and lead all project engineering activities including full lifecycle design and change control processes.
  • You will take responsibility for implementing the Design processes for integration, interfaces, human factors, integration with RAM, EMC and Engineering Safety activities, and for the identification and development of value engineering opportunities.
  • Supporting the Lead Project Engineering Manager and management team to monitor the progress of works and ensure that the development, design construction, testing and financial targets are met, and effect remedial action where required.
  • Leading the engineering team on requirements analysis, development of solution concepts, preliminary designs and detailed design for development, deployment and integration.

Remuneration & Benefits:

The company are offering a generous basic salary of £45,000 - £50,000 per annum, annual performance related bonus, 26 days holiday plus bank holidays, and health insurance.

About You:

It is essential that you’re a technically qualified Senior Design Engineer or Project engineer, able to act as CRE, with a proven track record working on SCADA or SISS projects within a main contractor environment. You will have exceptional communications skills, understanding of task, time and people management and will be a natural leader to ensure you are able to drive a team’s performance successfully. You must exhibit practical experience of the operation requirements of railway construction works and can use IT packages such as MS Office, Visio, Cad, MS Projects etc.
