They take on some of the most exciting, technically challenging projects in the rail and transportation sector, demonstrating their stability through shrewd acquisitions to expand their client offering. They are one of the market leaders in the railway and energy sectors and are looking to appoint a Structural Lead to complement their existing team!
The Role
As Principal Structural Engineer, you will offer experience, expertise and mentorship to the Structural Engineering team, whilst also having more than an opportunity to put your own efforts into design packages, for key clients in the Rail and Energy sectors. You will be tasked with coordination of multiple designs schemes throughout your team, whilst providing the ‘quality stamp of approval’ for works, before submission to your key clients.
This role is also for someone who thrives on providing technical solutions as you will be seen as the ‘trouble shooter’ for technical challenges that occur!
As with any industry, ‘quality’ = ‘repeat business’, so you will be instrumental in building and maintaining client relationships and understanding their detailed specifications for Structural Engineering schemes.
Required Experience
-
Chartered Engineer with the ICE or IStructE
-
Demonstrable experience in Structural building & Engineering design solutions

Ideally experience of the UK Rail sector, but other similar industries will be considered (Industrial, Energy,)

A vast knowledge of design and construction principles

A motivated team player, who enjoys leadership and mentorship!
