Part Time Train Cleaner
Day Shift Role
Based in Leeds Station
6-month initial contract with the opportunity to join on a permanent basis.
£12 p/h
We are working with one of the largest UK Train Operating Companies (currently operating 464 stations, the most of any TOC in the UK), who are seeking to recruit Part Time Train Cleaner join the train cleaning team based in Leeds Station.
They are looking for someone with a ‘go getter’ attitude who isn’t afraid to get stuck in and can lead a team by example.
The Role:
The role itself will consist of all aspects of Part Time Train Cleaner duties. You will board the train with the cleaning equipment such as cloths, cleaning solutions, sanitisers, toilet paper, bin bags for rubbish & waste. You will have 15 minutes per train to carry out these duties on the shorter journeyed services. Occasionally you will have to do full cleans on longer journeyed services which will take up to 45 mins.
Hours wise, as a Part Time Cleaner you will work 7 days on then have 7 days off working a 5 hour shift. The earliest you will ever start will be 09:30am and the latest you will finish will be 20:00pm.
You will be looking after the Northern Rail fleet only.
The Company:
The company covers the whole of the North, which includes the North East & West of England, Yorkshire and the Humber, as well as the occasional part of the East Midlands and Staffordshire.
As a result of this, they have a large fleet of trains – 333 to be precise, so it's safe to say you will be active & busy with your role!

Requirements:
- Be able to pass a Drugs & Alcohol test
- Be able to pass a Full Rail Medical – this will include, sight, hearing, colourisation, heart, lungs, brain, etc
- Provide your Right to Work documents before deployment
- Happy to help mentality/attitude
- A decent fitness is needed as the site is very large and will involve a lot of walking, so please keep this in mind when applying
