Managing Quantity Surveyor

In an exciting time of development across the nation, a main contractor is looking to expand its offering across Wales and the West Midlands. They are looking to bring a Managing Quantity Surveyor into their world class team, to work across New Build, Education and Healthcare and deliver key landmark projects for the business.

The Role:

When successful as Managing Quantity Surveyor you will be responsible for the management and development of the commercial team as well as acting as the commercial lead for your projects. You will also be working closely with the Project Manager, not only to plan expenditure, but also to identify, quantify and mitigate risks. Meetings with subcontractors and clients alike will also be high on your list of priorities, so your stakeholder management skills must be second to none.

You will be working for one of the top principal contractors in the UK, with and order book worth over £3 billion, meaning that the successful Managing Quantity Surveyor can be certain of the longevity of the position.

Remuneration:

Basic salary is up to £65,000 with an excellent package including a car allowance of over £6000!

About You:

To be successful in your application to be the Managing Quantity Surveyor you must be able to influence and persuade key stakeholders, potentially including more senior colleagues. Alongside this you will require a track record of delivering large projects on time and withing budget, while mentoring and coaching more junior members of staff. The ideal applicant will also be MRICS (or equivalent) certified, with a commercial focus and a pragmatic approach to work.
