This Tier 1 Contractor have won prestigious contractors across the UK and are now seeking a well-established Health & Safety professional to join their team!
The Opportunity:
This position will be based in West Sussex until Autumn, and will then relocate to Hampshire, so flexibility is a must. You will be joining a company who are seeing growth within the Civil Engineering sector, as they continue to win new frameworks and contracts in the Civils, Rail, Infrastructure and Highways sectors. You will see opportunities within the organisation to grow and progress your career.
This position will be a hand on position providing a presence out on site to both the organisations own team but also to Sub Contractors, Suppliers and other stakeholders.
You will be involved with carrying out site inspections, inductions, safety reports, checking sub-contractors SSOW plans, providing workshops and training to implement new innovations, rules and regulations.
Will review RAMS, CPP's in conjunction with client, with a heavy focus on Traffic Management!

Remuneration and Benefits:

About You
If you are a SHEQ Advisor with a background in Highways, Civil Engineering or local authorities Highways Management contracts, then this organisation would want to see you!
All you’ll need to knowledge and experience in the following;
- Ideally a NEBOSH Diploma OR NVQ Level 5 equivalent Safety qualification
- IEMA or environmental certs desirable but not essential
- Experience within a Tier 1 or 2 contractor as a HSSE Advisor or Manager (depending on company structure)
- Civils background OR Highways England Major schemes (BONUS) OR local authorities HM contracts
