Graduate Engineer – Concrete Repairs

There is an exciting opportunity for a flexible Graduate engineer to join my client’s team and work on a series on concrete repair projects throughout the UK. This position is ideal for somebody who is available to travel and lodge throughout the UK and work on various projects.
As a Graduate Site engineer, you will be working in a team undertaking structural investigation and refurbishment work. This is a hands-on role, where you will be working in teams to gather information on the condition of bridges, car parks, jetties, and buildings.
Duties:
You will be required to travel throughout the UK to concrete repair projects that last anything from a day to 7 weeks. All expenses are paid however, it is essential that you must be flexible for this position. Working in a 2-4-person team, you’ll be carrying out intrusive surveys and reinstatements on structures as well as carrying out concrete repairs such as:
- Structural Investigations (cover meter survey, half-cell surveys, concrete sampling)
- Cathodic Protection
- Masonry repairs (masonry reinforcement, repointing)
- Ground anchoring
- Bridge Refurbishment
You will be operating state of the art machinery such as Ground radar equipment, drills and Robotic concrete sprayers and reporting your findings back to clients and pricing works.
Ideal Candidate:
Applications will only be considered if you live in a location commutable to Ipswich and are available to travel UK wide as and when for projects.
- HND/HNC or Degree in Construction/Civil engineering
- 1-2 years on site either as a sandwich year, work placement, or job is essential
- CSCS, SSTS
- Full driving licence is essential, must be able to pass frequent Drug and Alcohol tests.
Package:
£30,000 - £32,000 basic salary per annum
21 days holiday + bank holidays
Weekend overtime rate
