Ganymede Energy are currently recruiting for safety focused, gas qualified individuals to join the Gas Safe Register as a Technical Support Officer (Homebased). This is an excellent opportunity to be part of the business that is helping improve the safety of the gas industry.

The Role

The role of the Technical Support Officer is to provide technical information and gas safety advice to all stakeholders and the general public so that safety standards are maintained and improved to ensure that Gas Safe Register is promoted throughout the gas industry, associated trades and the general public. You will be predominantly responding to calls from gas engineers to answer technical queries and offer support as well as offering guidance and dealing with complaints from members of the public.

The Package

  • Basic salary £36,000 per annum.
  • 37.5 Hours Per Week.
  • Homebased.
  • Shift Patterns from 07:30am to 19:00pm Monday to Friday & Saturday 08:00am to 13:00pm.
  • If you work a Saturday, you will have a day off during the week & additional £46.
  • 25 days’ holiday (rising to 27) with the opportunity to buy extra leave + 8 BH’s.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Must hold valid ACS: CCN1, CEN1, CKR1, HTR1, (MET1, DAH1, LAU1).
  • Any additional ACS such as commercial certificates preferable.
  • Excellent understanding of Health & Safety, Building Regulations, other related codes and normative documents.
  • A broad knowledge of both domestic and commercial gas.
  • Appreciation of issues affecting gas, plumbing, electrical and H&V installation businesses.
  • Flexibility is essential together with the ability to communicate effectively with people to provide technical information and gas safety advice.
