Job Title: Door Technician – Rolling Stock

Wanted! New Year New Start! We have an exciting new requirement for a Door Technician to join an existing Rolling Stock engineering team.
Our client is an industry leader specializing in overhauls, maintenance and servicing of passenger trains, locomotives, freight wagons and track plant.
Our client is seeking an experienced Technician with the ideal candidate will possess both mechanical & electrical skills where you have performed a vast array of duties on rolling stock fleets such as servicing, maintenance, fault finding and repairs to key components
As the Door Technician you will be tasked with a range of electrical duties such as removals, overhauls, installations, cabling / wiring, fault-finding, point to point tests and rectification of the doors to ensure they are working correctly and to the client’s expectations. With some trips to a remote location to perform similar duties (team vehicle is provided).
To be considered for this role you must have a Rolling Stock background and be able to demonstrate your skills as a Door Technician to a high standard and hold an NVQ Level 3 or Full Apprenticeship engineering qualification.
Rate of pay and Hours: £22 per hour + £2 p/h completion bonus (Monday – Friday 07:30am – 16:00pm)
