Location: Cambridge, Cambridgeshire

Duration: 3-month initial contract

Wanted! A Door Technician with significant experience working on Rolling Stock Projects and keen eye for fault finding and installs.

Our client is an industry leader specializing in overhauls, maintenance and servicing of passenger trains, locomotives, freight wagons and track plant.

The Candidate:

Looking for your next Rolling Stock contract? Looks like you are in luck today! Our client is hiring for their refurbishment project and is seeking an experienced Door Technician. The ideal candidate will possess both mechanical & electrical skills where you have performed a vast array of duties on rolling stock doors such as overhauls, repairs and modifications.

The Role:

Working alongside the vehicle builders and electrical fitters, the Door Technician will be tasked with a range of electrical duties such as removals, overhauls, installations, cabling / wiring, fault-finding, point to point tests and rectification of the doors to ensure they are working correctly and to the client’s expectations.

The Requirements:

To be considered for this role you must have a Rolling Stock background and be able to demonstrate your skills as a Door Technician to a high standard and hold an NVQ Level 3 or Full Apprenticeship engineering qualification.

Rate of pay and Hours: £24 per hour (Monday – Friday)
