CRE - Rail
Rate: £400 per day outside IR35
Duration: 12 Months +
Location: York or Glasgow
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious CRE to assist with the growth of an established main contractor. The CRE will be required to oversee a large civil engineering rail project. Candidates must be signed off as a Civils CRE and have a proven background of working on civil engineering projects within the rail environment.
The Role:
Our client is a civil engineering and construction contractor with a busy order book in the rail market.
As Civils CRE you will play a critical part within the business, managing the liaison between the consultancy, the client, and the contractor. Working within a busy contractor environment you will be responsible for the checking and alteration of consultant designs in conjunction with the works been done on site. You will be the authorised CRE for the signing off of designs.
You will work closely with the design consultancy and the client, reviewing their drawings against client specification and buildability. You will also visit site dealing with any alterations and ensuring the project will be completed to specification.
Required Experience:
Successful candidates will be from a main contractor background, working their way up through a technical background, into a Project Engineering / Design Management /Project Management role. You will be interested in progressing your career into Engineering Management/ Technical Leadership. Candidates must be from a rail civil engineering background. Ideally candidates will be chartered civil engineers, however the essential qualifications are:
- Degree/HND in civil engineering
- Substantial rail civil engineering experience
