You will be joining a reputable and firmly established, national rail and civil engineering contractor, which specialise in rail civil engineering. A business that is recognised on contracts and frameworks across the country, you will become part of a renowned brand name and team giving you the opportunity to grow in conjunction with this ambitious and forward-thinking business.
The role
This is an outstanding opportunity to join an exciting organisation as it continues to grow. Having won several frameworks with Network Rail, they are looking for a Contractor Responsible Engineer to work on a prestigious project in the Yorkshire area. You will be required to ensure all site paperwork fits the bill in accordance with the Design, as well as ensuring Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality compliance is maintained, and the company’s procedures and objectives are achieved. In this position you’ll also be involved in bidding and preconstruction stage for projects across the region.
Ideal Candidate
You’ll have a background in Civil Engineering within the Rail sector, preferably on projects that include Bridges, platforms, stations, enhancements, renewals, AFA schemes or structures. You will have the ability to assess buildability of the designs and manage change, as well as liaise with the client and consultancy to ensure that designs allow the works to be carried out to scope on site. Ideally educated to a minimum of an Degree in Civil Engineering, but HNC/HND maybe considered. You’ll be experienced in managing teams and have a clear focus of site safety. With the understanding of ensuring key documents being produced in conjunction with designs.
Remuneration
Offering a salary of up to £55,000. The full package will include a car or car allowance, 26 days holiday plus bank holidays, Professional memberships, 4.5% matched pension that rises to 7% after 5 years and health care.
