Construction Manager

Cambridge

6 Months Rolling Contract

£375 per day (PAYE)   

Role
An experienced Construction Manager is required to oversee civils works on a rail project.  

Responsibilities for the Construction Manager will include:
-Manage the construction team, supervision and engineering.

-Ensure plant and tools are booked to support the works.

-Ensure daily diaries are completed and filed with appropriate signatures.

-Ensure designs are constructible within the site constraints.

-Compile detailed programmes of work (any format).

-Liaise with planners to ensure critical path is maintained and any works are reprogrammed as required.

-Ensure all relevant health and safety standards are maintained.

-Ensure quality of work is of a high standard and appropriate remedial actions are put into place if required.

-Ensure all works have a valid inspection and test plan.

-Ensure all relevant paperwork is on site for the works being undertaken.

   

Required Experience

-Extensive experience with working within the engineering and construction industries
-Experience of working closely with third parties such as local councils and subcontractors
-Understanding of SHEQ requirements and the up-to-date legislation
-Contractual understanding
-Experience of attending management meetings and dealing with reviews when required.

-Valid CSCS and PTS Cards
