This company were incorporated as a private limited company in 2005, they provide specialist subcontracting services in all areas of structural steelwork engineering within the built environment, these include the refurbishment of road, rail and marine structures and fabrication and erection of miscellaneous metalwork to heavy steel structures. They have an experienced management and technical team and dedicated resources with particular expertise in bridgeworks and strengthening of metallic and composite structures which also includes GRP and timber. Alongside their design partners, they undertake complex refurbishment and fabrication, temporary works installation to complex and bespoke structures offering practical and buildable solutions. About the Role

Reporting into the Managing Director and Commercial Director, this Commercial Manager position is to manage the entire commercial process as well as managing a commercial team (1 Senior Quantity Surveyor and 1 Assistant Quantity Surveyor. You will be administering contracts, supporting the project management team, and managing the commercial process through valuations and final accounts. To be successful in this role you will need to be able to operate in a small team and be able to adapt to the subcontractor environment. Along with being dynamic, trustworthy, have a good work ethic and ability to lead from the front.

Remuneration

  • Competitive salary of up to £70,000 depending on experience (negotiable)
  • Company car or car allowance
  • Opportunity for agile working

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor who is ready to transition into a Commercial Manager or a fully-fledged Commercial Manager
  • Experience in civil engineering i.e., Highways or Rail
  • Experience with NEC forms of contracts (typically option A and B)
  • Be a dynamic, trustworthy, have a good work ethic and the ability to lead from the front.
  • Live within a commutable distance of Bexley
