The Opportunity:
You’ll be working within an established and experienced commercial team of one of the U.K’s largest Civil Engineering and Rail Contractors.
It will involve a variety of ECI schemes, including projects on both enhancement and renewal frameworks from structures, bridges and access for all station works.
As the Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you’ll be involved with:
- Working alongside a Quantity Surveyor and assisting the Commercial Team by contributing to the profitable performance of the Business Unit (Specifically CP6 projects)
- Supporting the team through the successful commercial and financial management of works, with procurement functions and subcontractor evaluation and management
- Responsible for preparing valuations, accounts and project reports & forecasts
- You’ll be able to work from offices based in either South or North Yorkshire
- Visiting the work sites 1-2 times per week to gain exposure to the works and build a rapport with the site team

Remuneration:
Up to £32,000 Per Year (Experience dependant) & the following benefits:

About You:
You will need experience operating as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor/Commercial Assistant/Trainee Quantity Surveyor, ideally in the rail industry; however main contractor NEC experience would also be considered.
A full UK Driving License is essential.
