My background in recruitment
I have extensive experience within recruitment and have always worked in customer-facing roles. I also have a background as an engineer, having worked closely with HSQE professionals in a different environment, providing an industry perspective that few other recruiters can offer.

Having worked closely with HSEQ professionals within construction environments, I have a strong understanding of the day-to-day challenges they face, the qualifications and accreditations required and the impact they have on project delivery, compliance and workplace culture. This enables me to accurately assess both technical capability and cultural fit when identifying candidates.
My approach is built on market knowledge, long-term relationships and a genuine understanding of the HSEQ function. Rather than simply filling vacancies, I focus on connecting the right people with the right organisations, creating lasting placements that add value for both clients and candidates.
The best part of my job
The best part of my role is building long-lasting relationships with both candidates and clients and offering a more personal approach rather than a purely transactional service. I enjoy taking the time to understand people's goals, challenges and motivations, enabling me to provide tailored support throughout the recruitment process.
I find it particularly rewarding to help candidates secure opportunities that positively impact their careers while also helping clients build strong, successful teams. Seeing placements develop into long-term success stories and becoming a trusted recruitment partner is one of the most satisfying aspects of my role.
I also enjoy the problem-solving element of recruitment, whether that is sourcing hard-to-find talent, supporting clients through periods of growth or helping candidates navigate important career decisions. Building trust, adding value and creating lasting partnerships are what motivate me most.
What I do when I'm not in the office
I am a big Leeds United fan and often follow the both home and away when possible. Also a massive Ruby league fan having played most of my life
