Celebrating Renata's Five Year Career Journey at Ganymede

As Renata celebrates five years with the business, we're reflecting on her journey from Compliance Administrator to Compliance Team Leader, the experiences that have shaped her career and the role she now plays in supporting our clients, candidates and wider workforce.

From New Starter to Team Leader

Looking back, Renata remembers the recruitment process as the first indication of the supportive culture that continues to define her experience today.

"Rachael was my first point of contact and she was really friendly. She explained the role really well and made the whole interview process a positive experience. There was loads of communication throughout the recruitment and onboarding process, so I always knew what was happening."

Although Compliance was completely new to her, Renata quickly found herself surrounded by colleagues who were willing to share their knowledge and help her succeed.

"I didn't know much about Compliance, so there was a lot to learn. My colleagues were brilliant. They took the time to teach me, answered all my questions and introduced me to lots of key people across the business."

Growing Through Opportunity

Over the past five years, Renata has progressed from Compliance Administrator to Compliance Coordinator before stepping into her current role as Compliance Team Leader.

Alongside developing her knowledge of recruitment and the industries Ganymede supports, including rail and energy, she's also grown in confidence.

"It's definitely helped me become more confident and resilient, both professionally and personally."

Having moved to the UK, working with colleagues across the business also helped Renata settle into a new environment and build confidence both in and outside of work.

Ganymede has continued to support her development through a Level 3 Certificate in Leadership and Management, while also giving her the opportunity to become involved in areas beyond her day to day role, including external audits and wider business improvement initiatives.

Supporting Safe Delivery

Behind every successful placement is a robust compliance process and today Renata leads the team responsible for supporting all 10 Ganymede and ATA offices across the UK.

From onboarding candidates and ensuring they meet legal, industry and client requirements to maintaining the accreditations our clients rely on, the Compliance Team plays a vital role in helping Ganymede deliver safe, high quality workforce solutions.

One of Renata's proudest achievements has been helping Ganymede achieve the Workforce Assured accreditation, alongside her recent promotion to Team Leader.

"Being promoted has given me the opportunity to develop my leadership skills and take on more responsibility."

A Culture That Supports People

When asked what has kept her at Ganymede for five years, Renata's answer is simple.

"The people are what make Ganymede such a great place to work. Everyone is friendly and supportive and it's a really nice team to be part of."

She also values the opportunities to continue learning, spend time with colleagues through company social events and enjoy a healthy work life balance, all of which have contributed to a rewarding career.

For anyone considering a career in compliance, Renata has some simple advice.

"Have the confidence to apply for roles, even if you think you don't have any direct experience. There are always transferable skills and Ganymede has allowed me to develop mine."

As she looks to the future, Renata is excited to continue learning and developing both professionally and as a leader.

"I don't think you ever stop learning and I'm excited to see what opportunities Ganymede has for me in the future."

She also hopes the Compliance Team continues to be recognised as a reliable and supportive team that helps the wider business succeed.
