Ganymede Subcontractor Forum - April 2026
On Wednesday 15th April, the Ganymede Rail team welcomed our valued supply chain partners to Canterbury Rugby Club for our Spring Subcontractor Forum, continuing our commitment to collaboration, safety and continuous improvement across the rail industry.
Hosted by our Health, Safety & Environment team alongside operational leaders, the forum brought together subcontractors from across our network to share insight, align on key industry standards and strengthen the relationships that underpin safe and effective delivery.
A Day Focused on Safety, Communication and Collaboration
The forum provided an open and engaging platform for discussion, with a strong focus on safety critical communications, wellbeing and shared responsibility across the supply chain.
Key sessions included:
Electrical Updates: Daniel Webb, Network Rail
Daniel joined us in person to provide the latest updates on electrical standards and developments across the network, helping ensure alignment and understanding across all partners.
Mental Health & Industry Support: Alfie Ruffell and Bradlee Williams, SPEAK
A powerful and insightful session exploring mental health initiatives within the industry, highlighting the importance of open conversations and the support available to individuals and teams.
Safety Critical Communications Standard: Gary Lobue, Ganymede
An interactive discussion where subcontractors shared progress, challenges and best practice in working towards the Network Rail Standard for the Management of Safety Critical Communications. This session encouraged honest dialogue and practical solutions to support consistent implementation across projects.
Throughout the day, conversations were open, constructive and solutions led. Our partners shared experiences, challenged thinking and worked collaboratively to identify opportunities for improvement, reinforcing a collective commitment to raising standards across the rail industry.
It was also great to be joined by Signal PPE and Navigation Security Systems, showcasing their innovative solutions.
The forum closed with an open discussion, giving attendees the opportunity to raise additional topics and shape future sessions.
Dean Frost, Head of Rail (South), said:
“It was well attended, and there was exactly the right balance with the presentations, covering a wide range of safety, health, wellbeing and innovation topics. I genuinely feel that days like yesterday highlight how closely we work with our SMEs and more importantly, how much we value those relationships and the effort that goes into building them.”
Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed. We’re proud to work alongside such committed partners and look forward to continuing to build a safer, stronger and more connected supply chain.
