Charlotte Cruise Leads Women in Rail Inclusion Event
Charlotte Cruise, Chair of Women in Rail East Midlands and Client Relationship Manager at Ganymede, recently hosted a Women in Rail and The Railway Club seminar and networking event.
The event, themed Allyship and Inclusion, brought together rail professionals from across the industry to discuss how to build stronger, more supportive workplaces.
Supporting Inclusion in the Rail Industry
As Chair of Women in Rail East Midlands, Charlotte played a key role in organising and delivering the event, bringing together industry experts to share insights on the importance of creating inclusive environments and supporting others in the workplace.
The session focused on practical ways individuals and businesses can improve inclusion, while also highlighting the role of allyship in driving long term change across the rail sector.
Charlotte said:
“Allyship and inclusion are key to building better workplaces. It is about listening, supporting others and creating an environment where people feel confident to be themselves and do their best work.”
The event also saw strong engagement from attendees, including male allies, showing the growing commitment across the rail industry to improving diversity and inclusion.

Lucy Prior MBE, Octavius, with over 15 years’ experience across the sector and recognised with an MBE for services to rail exports
Adam Sergent, Network Rail, Founder and Chair of Neurodiversity in Transport and Diversity and Inclusion Lead for Young Rail Professionals
Joanne Boocock, Alstom, shortlisted for Women in Rail Inspirational Woman of the Year
Their combined experience brought valuable perspective to the discussion and helped drive meaningful conversation around inclusion and allyship in rail.
